Bio of Patricia Hart Mangan, Ph.D.
I am an anthropologist who teaches and conducts research on topics in gender relations, women and development, political economy, globalization, religion and material culture. I am interested in cultural differences and issues of identity as the play out in transnational contexts.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Latin American History, a Master’s degree in Library Science and Rare Books, a Master’s degree and doctorate in Anthropology, the latter from the University of Massachusetts. I grew up in New York City and have lived in New Orleans, Louisiana, Los Angeles, California and various places in Massachusetts. I have conducted anthropological fieldwork in Mexico, Belize, Spain, the Philippines, South Africa and Kazakhstan. I am currently a Fulbright scholar teaching in the Center for Studies of Chinese Southwest’s Borderland Ethnic Minorities at Yunnan University in Kunming.

Bill Berkeley教授毕业于哈佛大学和耶鲁大学，执教于哥伦比亚大学，教授新闻学课程。他曾供职于《纽约时报》，负责国际事件和美国外交等方面的社论撰写。他也曾做过美国著名期刊《大西洋月刊》的驻外记者。Bill Berkeley教授，作为富布赖特学者，现任教于复旦大学。
