PETER J. BUCKLEY is Professor of International Business and Director of the Centre for International Business, University of Leeds in UK (CIBUL), which is one of the world’s leading research centers in International Business founded in July 1995.
He has published 26 books. These Books include The Future of the Multinational Enterprise (1976) and the Theory of the Multinational Enterprise (1987) .His most recent book is Foreign Direct Investment, China and the World Economy (2010). He also is editor of 17 books. In addition, he has written over 175 refereed articles on foreign direct investment, the multinational enterprise, international management and the economics of tourism, including 20 articles in the Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS.).
Peter Buckley was President of the Academy of International Business 2002-2004. He currently is Chair of the European International Business Academy.
His current research interests focus on the theory of the multinational firm, knowledge management in multinational firms, the international transfer of technology, the impact of foreign direct investment and foreign direct investment in China, and outward direct investment from emerging countries, particularly China and India.
